Serena Williams partnered with nike in 2019 to establish the Serena Williams Design Crew, a program aimed at increasing diversity and inclusivity in design. This initiative selected 10 emerging designers from underrepresented backgrounds to create a Serena-inspired collection over 18 months, with the inaugural collection debuting in 2021.
