UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) was the 26th UNFCCC Conference of the Parties, held in Glasgow in 2021 to accelerate global action on the climate crisis. It convened governments, businesses, scientists and civil society to negotiate emissions reductions, climate finance, adaptation and carbon market rules, culminating in the Glasgow Climate Pact and a range of high-profile commitments toward netβzero pathways. COP26 is noteworthy for its scale and for translating international climate science into policy signals and finance commitments that aim to mobilize stronger national action.
